OUTREACH SUPPORT
Outreach volunteers attend events with our staff and support the ongoing tabling needs of the organization. As an outreach volunteer, you will play a critical role in setting up our tabling, welcoming attendees, answering questions about our cause, and accepting donations for our life saving work. We are looking for people who are excited about creating in-person welcoming spaces for our community-at-large.
ADVOCACY ACCOMPLICE
As an advocacy accomplice, you will work alongside our staff fighting for the liberation of Black and gender diverse communities across WA and beyond. Our advocacy accomplices play a pivotal role in educating the community-at-large about program-specific work, supporting direct actions, and creating safer spaces for marginalized communities to have their voices heard and respected. Advocacy accomplices provide support in both virtual and in-person spaces.
FUNDRAISING & DEVELOPMENT
Volunteers assist with a number of administrative tasks related to fundraising for Black trans liberation. Volunteers will work closely with our Development Manager and our Outreach Coordinator.
LAW STUDENTS
Law students are welcome to complete internships / externships with the Lavender Rights Project and assist staff with legal research, client contact, drafting pleadings, and additional legal work as is needed or desired based on interest.
PROJECT-BASED INTERNSHIPS/OPPORTUNITIES
If you have a particular area of interest or skill set you’d like to invest in our organization, you’re encouraged to inquire about opportunities through our form. While financial support is not usually available, we will do our best to accommodate needs around supervision, mentoring, and access to resources and networks to help you fulfill your vision.
